Heres a lovely Victorian Armchair fully restored in the Emily Bond Long Dog fabric. This was a client comission that one of the students worked on. Vintage 57 often get client commissions for the students to work on to help with the course fees

Linwood Feathers

This week I found the most amazing fabric by Linwood. Its a cotton base with feathers sewn in with an organza covering.......knew just the piece I wanted to put it on.........an Edwardian mahogany heavily carved window seat / stool.......

Kathys Modern Chesterfield

Vintage 57 took on a commission for Kathy one of our Diploma Students of a modern chesterfield. The chesterfield was not buttoned & was covered in a very drab multi coloured 1980's woven fabric. Kathy completely "made over" the sofa by adding the deep buttoning & used a very tailored linen woolled mix from Linwood in a lovely flecked charcoal grey, what a transformation

Emma Williams Victorian Armchair in "Congo" Leather

Georgian Style Sofa by John Hatch

This was a commission for John Hatch of G & H Interiors. John restored the sofa to calico & then used a GP & J Baker woven damask. What a difference between the yellow sofa to the newly restored piece by John

Claire Pitt & Denise

Claire Pitt & her mother Denise came for a week with their famillies & stayed @ Yurtis @ Dowlish Wake. Claire bought a fantastic French Armchair to be restored & Denise bought a lovely Victorian Small Armchair. Both used linens......& Calire used a linen ticking for her buttons & Denise used the original tassell buttons. Both completed within the week

This fabulous Victorian Armchair has been completely restored by Kathy Joyce @ Vintage 57 as part of her Diploma Course.
