Lyme Bay.......finished at last!

Lyme Bay created & restored by Jules Lobb ......this was Jules 4th piece on the upholstery course & what a piece. Jule has completely re built the seat traditionally & has restored the back & arms. Jules used John England Linen in the Otter colourway & teamed it with wonderfull mother of pearl beads as buttons..............

Emma started her nursing chair on monday & finished it by Wednesday so was stuck for something to work on for the rest of the week........Part of the Diploma course is to reupholster a modern wing armchair so she found a parker knoll type chair.......off come the wings.........on goes the lime green paint.......a bright floral & deep buttoning.........

Helena came over from Holland with her sister Gerda for the week & she fully restored & reupholstered this Victorian Deep Buttoned Nursing Chair using a wool houndstooth fabric by Bute.....

Pichonet......

I've just finished this Victorian Childs chair......I have rebuilt the seat & arms & restored the back. Its called Pichonet as the floral soft grey fabric is a French 1950's barkcloth & its teamed with hand dyed Antique Polka Dot Hungarian Linen from Beyond France......this scrummy piece is for sale..........

Kathy has just finished restoring a Victorian Chair....using John England Linen - Driftwood & using a mixture of vintage mother of pearl shirt buttons.......looks fabulous.............

Pams Week

Pam arrived with "nursing chair" which she completed by Wednesday so I had to find another chair for her to work on. Both finished one in 1950's barkcloth & the other using Emily Bond Horses Head.....

Kathys Chairs

Kathy has nearly finished a pair of lovely French Walnut Chairs........Kathy has fully restored these chairs & has deep buttoned the seats using a John England Linen colour Elephant & then made a mixture of jewel coloured tassells using silk thread.......scrummy...
